Luxury Chamonix Apartment Facilities

The holiday apartment was finished in September 2006 by award winning Chamonix builder MGM. It is 47sqm in size and sleeps 6 people across 3 rooms including:

1 double bedroom
1 twin bedroom
double sofa bed in lounge

The holiday apartment has been finished to a luxurious alpine standard typical of MGM with top of the range traditional wooden furniture.

Bedrooms

The main double bedroom has a traditional Pont de Lit and a beautiful wooden floor. The twin room has two single beds that can be joined to make a double bed.

There is a generous amount of storage space in both bedrooms & again well appointed with traditional Savoyard furniture.

Bathroom

There is a modern and stylish family bathroom including:

bath tub

power shower
large wash basin
heated towel rail
mirror and ample shelf units

Kitchen/Lounge

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, extractor fan, fridge-freezer, halogen-hob, advanced duel microwave/ oven and with plenty of pans/pots and

Le Crueset style casserole dishes & sharp knives to make cooking a pleasure for you.

There is a popular French steak house across the main road from the apartment if you decide at the last minute not to cook.

The lounge offers you a great place to relax in comfort after a long (or short) days activity. It's centrepiece is a contemporary Scandinavian wood burner which creates a fabulous cosy atmosphere perfect after a day on the slopes.

For entertainment there is an LCD TV, DVD, Playstation2, CD and USB/radio player as well as numerous books / leaflets on the region. There is a selection of DVD movies and PS2 games to play as well.

The large L shaped sofa can be easily converted into a very comfortable sofa bed. There is a dining table with seating for 6. It is completed with some inspiring valley photographs/posters
(and throughout the apartment).

The balcony is accessed via the large patio window where you can enjoy magnificent views of Aiguille de Midi and Mont Blanc massif. For summer guests breakfast / dinner can be enjoyed on the balcony on the available table and chairs.

Parking

There is a private underground parking accessed via an infra red remote control (garage height 2m) and separate apartment ski locker.

Location

The apartment is easy to find and is just off the N205/E25 main road that runs through the valley. Here is the map of the apartment in Chamonix you can find a full page version here.

Directions to apartment from Geneva

Ignore the 1st exit off the N205/ E25 (almost immediately after leaving Tunnel des Chavants) to Les Houches and Prarion / Bellevue. Take the 2nd exit to Les Houches signposted Les Houches and Tacconaz after a further ½ mile. At the small roundabout take the 2nd exit (almost as if going straight across onto Avenue des Alpages) away from Les Houches.

You will soon pass on your right a Super U (excellent local supermarket), a further 500 yards past this point take the turning right to Chamonix and back onto the N205/E25. After 150 yards take the small turning right signposted Le Cottage. Bear left twice up the short hill and you will enter into into Hameau des Glaciers 2 (marked as Le Petite Pont on the enclosed Michelin map link).
